The "car" and "light bulb" may fall into "Do what others do, but do it better", or "Do what others do, but for a new audience." (Mr.Ford)

Even the transistor wasn't new, but simply better than the tube.

Cheers ,

Stephan

Another great article.

"Is it luck or do those who change the world know something we don’t?"

My answer is NO they don't know anything we don't know. They only are a little sharper on seeing the opportunities and they are little braver to take risks than most of us. They also don't work on their ideas as a side job. They mostly quit everything else and focus on one idea or if not on one industry.

Luck, on the other hand, is always important. Yet I believe that everyone gets the same amount of chances - maybe not the same quality but the same number... Only few can feel and catch the luck.

Those who achieve extraordinary success are those who know that they are lucky.
